Alright, new week, are you ready for me – Am I ready for you? 😂
We need to show up for ourselves every single day for us to grow and transform our wounds and worry into tools of strength.
Real self-care doesn’t always look like a trip to the spa or 🛀 a fancy bubble bath.
Self-care is such a buzzword these days. Don’t get me wrong, I love bubbles, but I am a mom of four so the chances of me enjoying a routine deep, soaking bath are slim.
These images, which bring awareness, can also leave us feeling like we’re not doing self-care the correct way; we are completely missing the point.
The reality is, self-care isn’t a thing to check off the to-do list. It’s a way of managing the little things, in a way that promotes our wellbeing.
It can be as simple as flossing our teeth. (I know, I know, we’re supposed to do that every day 😂) But the other day, I felt so damn good showing my teeth some love! Yes, even our teeth deserve love.
So, if you find yourself comparing your self-care with social media standards, please stop. Care doesn’t have a look; it looks like whatever you NEED at that moment YOU get to decide!
